Can't read PHY ID on SAM7-EX256Posted by Mikael Ostensson on December 11, 2008 Hi all, I'm trying to get the Crossworks demo working on my olimex SAM7-EX256 board and have issues reading the PHY ID. it always return 0x000FFFF rather than the expected id from the ksz8721bl (0x00221610). RMII mode does not work. RE: Can't read PHY ID on SAM7-EX256Posted by Mikael Ostensson on December 11, 2008 No RMII as per the original demo: #define USE_RMII_INTERFACE 0 The only changes I have done is to define a a new Phy ID type in mii.h : #defineMII_KS8721BL_ID 0x00221610 and change the corresponding if statement in the SAM7_EMAC.c to detect it, but the call always returns FFFF.
