Application framework / OS abstraction links

Keywords: Application framework, Application frameworks, OS abstraction / wrapper / design pattern patterns.

Starting to use UML and design patterns. I hope to share experiences and links with those interested in using an application framework / application frameworks under FreeRTOS.
I find I'm spending too much time writing state machines, inter task messaging sub systems, timer patterns.. and more time fixing them. It’s a well trodden path in the windows / linux / ecos / sphere, but not so much in the lightweight embedded side where volume prohibits such extravagance!

So here is my contribution…
This is the sort of thing I’m talking about

There are some good ideas / links here too..

A HSM.. used this to solve some knotty problems!

Please share experiences and links on this thread.
Thanks,
Jon
